Its time to transform public service delivery – Dr Surin Pitsuwan

Speaking at the forum Dr Surin Pitsuwan, Secretary General, Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) said it’s high time to transform the public service delivery. He said ASEAN covers 567 million people in 10 countries. He mentioned that ASEAN contributes USD 1 trillion to the GDP and another 1.4 trillion towards Foreign Trade. This will be a lucrative market for the international business community.

He mentioned that ASEAN has been trying for a collective effort to manage positive impacts and cushion negative impacts of globalisation and technology. We need to think clear how to integrate Microsoft to setup a system to manage well and improve further. He quoted Bill Gates by saying ‘Creative Capitalism’ as the new solution to the reach the unreached.
