I have been going through several articles and watching TV programmes  on the 100th anniversary of international womens day which is being marked this year. What I realized is that little is being highlighted concerning empowerment of women using new and emerging technologies mainly ICTs and mobile phones. It is imperative that women and men championing the course of women telecentres engage in the promotion of women in using telecentres to access information and gain knowledge for them to make decisions hence improving their socio-economic status. I am glad that Telecentre.org Foundation have taken an initiative to promote women telecentres in this perspective. What do other telecentre champions say?
