I think it's necesary to define what we want for the telecentres and for the communities, no yet how can we help them, also how they can help themself, in order to obtain sustentability.

To start some exchange of comments and ideas, I would like to provide an important link that would help to understand what today is understood as social enterprise and also a source where people and entities thinking about social enterprise can learn about opportunities for them.

Prometo enviar recursos en Español en breve.

Just wanted to make you aware of the Global Social Entreperneurship Competition hosted by the Foster School at the University of Washington. This is a great student competition and the application period is open until 12 November. Learn more at

Thank you Tim
I am actually working in a Summary of that to post here for others to learn. That is great source of information and ideas for those who may just begun to learn about the Social Enterprises and Social Entrepreneurs initiatives.
So, I would encourage everyone who visit this groups to go to the link that Tim posted on his note.
By Friday October 3, I will post a summary with many other sources of information and hope to initiate a dynamic exchange.

Here is another important site to learn from and for those who may have a chance to attend the event, please consider that seriously. Lots of good opportunities to learn from groups already working in this space.

Hi all, in a few weeks, I hope not more than 2, we will be presenting the draft of a toolkit NESsT created on social enterprise start up, based on our experience in Uganda, Chile, US, Sri Lanka. I would love to have this group as a tester for it.

Great suggestion Floro we should totally have that here. I am myself putting together few other materials like that too. With that we can start discussions and enrich those materials.
