Grammen Gyan Abhiyan is definitely a significant movement towards a harmonious, equitable and just society. Knowldgedge is the only factor for human being to liberate it from old sackles of burdens and drudgeries it is suffering from ages. Our villages ( Grammen regions) now have the opportunities of connecting people through digital devices which provide us the most effective and efficient oppoortunity to trasport and share information across the globe. Let's work to use those effectively and in appropriative way to the fullest potential and graduate the present movement against poverty to prosperity. This prosperity should not only establish happiness in mankind but also in all the living beings on this earth. That is a great challenge before mankind to bring harmony between human society and nature.

Hai All

We shall all be working on the formation of the mini coalitions based on themes and geographic regions. Please come up with your suggestions for the same.

The GGA is great initiative to get the mainstream into the periphery and vice versa. It's good to be here.

Hi, I am wondering what the epistemological and pedagogical foundation is for this movement?
Comment by Anita Anand on January 8, 2009 at 11:19am
Jan, it is the idea that the digital revolution has the potential to be more inclusive and reach all of India's people. The goal is for a grand alliance - of governement, civil society, research, academics, private eterprise and the corproate sector to work togther to ensure this. The implementation of this is through Knowledge Centres in villages, small towns and remote areas, where people have less access to information and services.
