Abhishek,

I applaud the outstanding work that your organisation is already doing in Bihar and also your ambitious goal. Your goal I believe is very achievable, based on my second hand experience of what is involved. I have seen your profile and website and have seen how clearly and comprehensively your aims and objectives are set out. While I am not an operator of a Telecentre, I support 100% what they are already doing and also trying to do, with aid of their excellent TeleCentre.Org and subject matters like Mobilizing Resources by Vivien Chiam, whom I have being following.

As regards your work, I am aware of two Irish people who have been working for many years doing similar work in India, both in Kolkata/ Calcutta; and one of them in particular who has been doing so since 1956, and is still doing it while in her mid 70's. Their Orgs have collectively educated over 300,000 children in that time. I have recently been speaking with her about what is involved and naturally their work extends to all issues that affect those children. She summarised it as being about Justice before Charity.

I do not yet know how I can help you at VoxWorld.Coop to do what you are doing but I do believe that I can learn somehow to assist in some way as you progress, thus as I get to understand more about you. My own particular focus specialises in helping local Communities to generate funds through Co-operative traded-services programmes in particular in a reach-out to their Diaspora and to leverage that trade for purposes of local Community Economic Development and their empowerment; what I call E-Communities.Coop. Telecentres projects are a natural starting point, to provide digital access, to the process of what I see as the beginning of a Local Digital Hub which I believe will help you greatly with your goal. Keep up the great work. Richard

Thanks for all those encouraging words. I hope the idea suggested looks quite impressive and have potential to make significant difference in the lives of people in general and the overall development for the children in particular.
