Hi everybody. Thanks for the invitation.
Let's start with telling what is a social issue in our place where we live.
Here in Hungary, Cental Europe the main social issues that we have now is the financial problems of the families, digital literacy developping and estimulating community trust and that they give help to each other.
And you? What is the practical meaning of social issues in your country?

Thanks Clara! I think, this is a good starting point! In my country India also we are facing the same problems. I think povery lies at the root of all problems. In my country, the divide between the rich and the poor is very deep. There are some people who holiday abroad at exotic places and there are millions who struggle to get even the most simplest meal everyday. This has led to a lot of frustration and disappointment among the common people. Then, there are gender, caste, class and other types of discriminations. The benefits of development are not reaching down to the poorest of the poor. Everybody, the government, development agencies, private sector are doing their best, but I don't know when the day will come when there will be no deaths and suicides from hunger, starvation, poverty. I am looking forward to such a future. May be the technology can help!

Thanks for a realistic and down-to-earth discussion. We are in such a society where discrimination affect most people.Technolgy may help. Here again discrimination and social stratification come to play their roles. Those who can invest for wholeselling technological devices, they exploit the poorer peoples. The technological labourers get hardly anything to maintain their livelihood woth honour. You can compare the plight of garments workers with that of data processors or
transcription workers. They are hand-to-mouth though they have training in technolgy application.I invite all friends to make comments on the basis of their experiences.
