Computing and Information Association has launched the Telecentre Women: Digital Literacy Campaign at the University of Dodoma, College of Informatics and Virtual Education in Dodoma Tanzania.
The Event was held 5th September 2011 from 1200 - 1400 EAT. Stakeholders, ICT students and other ICT experts were invited to join us and they participated very gratefully. Many promised to volunteer in the campaign and they were provided with Campaign forms which were created by the CIA Team. Their response was very promising and we got about 42 ICT based students willingly to participate in the promotion of the campaign and the training of women according to our program.
We are thankful to the University of Dodoma staff teachers of the College of Informatics and Virtual Education namely Ms. Hilda Makangale acting head of Department and Mr. Kamuzola lecturer.
The most hopeful thing is that these volunteering female ICT students are very eager to immediately start the promotion campaign and training of women.
