NIC & NTC The partner for GDCO 4 community development

the National Information Centre (NIC) and national telecommunication corporation (NTC) in the ministry of science and telecommunication (Sudan) constructed more than 1500 access centres (Telecentres) in Sudan. They are two types of Telecentres 1- school Telecentres which is equipped with 10 computers and internet connection. 2- state Telecentres (in the capital of the municipalities) which is equipped with 15 computers with internet, 42 inches’ plasma TV. with digital receivers, fax, printer and heavy duty Xeroxing machines. there is strong partnership between Gedaref Digital City Organization (GDCO) and the National Information Centre (NIC) for community development. NIC winner of WSIS prize 2012

National Information Center (NIC) is responsible for an e-government program in Sudan, it has built the National Network as the basis for infrastructure that connect the government institutions, it also established the national Data Center and plan for a cloud Data Center, it is in charge of National Information Security, e-learning, e-health, e-agriculture, geographical Information base map, e-government Portal and planning for e-services. Working on the sustainable development goals (SDGs).
