About Me (biography and organization description): I am a Media Support Program Officer and joined Soros Foundation-Kazakhstan in June 2007. The Media Support Program’s mission is to support the independent media outlets and journalists in Kazakhstan, develop a national network of journalistic NGOs that specialize in the protection of the journalists’ rights by extending legal support and providing training in order to improve the professional level of journalism nationwide and in the regions to make sure that the people of Kazakhstan do have fair access to the objective and reliable sources of information.

My background is in Cultural Anthropology with minor in International Law, graduate of American University-Central Asia, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
