About Me (biography or organization description)
I obtained my masters in information science from Documentation Research Training Centre, Indian Statistical Institute, Bangalore and PhD from University of Mysore in the area Scientometrics. I was in UMASS, MA, USA as a Fulbright Scholar for about 9 months. I am working at National Centre for Science Information (NCSI), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore since 1985. IISc is a premier academic and research institution was established in 1909. NCSI, was established in 1983, as a Inter University Centre by University Grants Commission. At present NCSI is a department at IISc, providing e-information services to IISc researchers.
