Turning Rural Civil Servants into an ICT users’ Club

Nakaseke community Library was established in 1997 under the pilot of Nakaseke Multipurpose Community Telecentre project which was executed by Uganda National Commission for UNESCO and the National Library of Uganda for a period of three years. It is now stands out to be the only biggest public Community Library in Nakaseke District.

MfarmerSMS Service Links Farmers to Better Markets

Nakaseke Community Telecentre in Uganda has deployed a project called Mfarmer SMS Service to encourage an interactive two way feedback communication to its main focus groups, to the farmers, Buyers/Agro-processors and extension service providers. Connecting Rural Maginalized Communities

Nakaseke is one among the many Rural marginalized Communities in Uganda. However using the ITU funds Nakaseke has been connected on a wireless network using the Telecentre as the main Hub, now the distance has been brought to zero thus linking the Rural society to the globe village.
