Smartphone app gives instant advice to rice farmers
[MANILA] Rice farming has become the latest addition to the smartphone market for information, with a free application that can provide farmers with advice on fertiliser use suitable for their particular needs.

Farmers will from now get fertilisers and seed allocation through their mobile phones, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina, has said. CST pilots 3G network; commercial services to follow in March
Portugal Telecom’s subsidiary in Sao Tome and Principe, Companhia Santomense de Telecomunicacoes (CST), has launched a pilot of its third-generation network, reports Cellular-News.
