Amazing amount of content creation with social media: Participate

It would be cool to see the economic numbers behind this data--but I found this very interesting. What does it have to do with telecenters?  if you think about the voices of the unvoiced--this is just the beginning.  Contribute, share, and things will open. Empower your students, give them a voice. This activity mimics the brain. Synthesis is synopsis, syntax. Only by expressing and connecting does the node become existent--created. The rapid and exponential growth we will…

Facebook as a Supplemental LMS

A couple of years ago one of my student Stage Managers–a Junior in

college–created a Facebook Group for our Departmental Production in the

Theater Department. It was an eye opener for me and since then I have

moved much of my course management into Facebook. Logistically I operate

my entire Associates in Technical Theater Program from our Facebook

Group Page now. Each semester I ask my new students to join the group–

Now, when I come into the building I am often… Continue

Call for Collaborators for Sustainable Telecenter Global Challenge

I am seeking some members of this community who would be interested in collaborating on a global challenge to create the Sustainable Telecenter. I am proud to be partnering with the Global Challenge Award and to add Sustaining Telecenters as a challenge that needs to be addressed and recognized.

Our strategy is to leverage the immersive internet--virtual worlds and web 2.0--for facilitating innovation and… Continue

Combine Telecenters and Eco-toruism

A recent article in 3DTLC-- 3D Training, Learning and Collaboration reported:

“Lauren Papworth, a social networking strategist, told the Australian Tourism Futures conference that travelers will increasingly use virtual worlds to help plan their next vacation according to the Brisbane Times. The talk was targeted at the Australian tourism community, but has relevance… Continue

Thank you very much for inviting me in telecenter. Now I can learn a lot from all of you and get a lot of suggestion. I am new so just guide me too. I am looking forward to get knowledge in international deaf and hard of hearing society that may give awareness to our country.

Jan, thanks for connecting. Why are you interested in telecentres? Do you have a connection to international development? Tell me more about Johnson College if you wish. Meanwhile I'll look up your college website.

Many thanks Jan. I am looking for as much content as possible to demonstrate the information dissemination power of video and iPTV. I shall in due course be sending to all those responding to my message a business plan, which we can then amend and form to fit all our needs. This project should be looked at as a participative partnership.
