Making telecentres appeal better for emerging people and markets

Setting the scene Our common aspiration for communities separated by location rather than quality of life remains curtailed by failed attainment of telecentre sustainability. The present model gives a generic basis for planning, implementing, and appraising a self supporting telecentre ecosystem – telecentre, networks, support institutions and services offered. Its competitiveness basis is relative ‘product’ – utility and price, and process – costs, to competing ‘products’. The optimal mix of…See More

HOW TO PROFIT FROM TELECENTRES: A NEW MODEL INTO THE FUTURE

For the decade of 2000s, I was anxious that telecentres would become the way of life – linking rural people to their urban counterparts and the markets, than ever before. In each telecentre expedition I made; from India to Sri Lanka, Costa Rica to Canada, Hungary to Spain, and through Africa, the flames of this hope become more visible and strong. But at the same time, the hope for a self reliant telecentre was dimming by the time. This has made me wander through places; physical and virtual,…See More

Natural rules are key in Money raising work as in any other field. Mastering the rules is 50% finding the Money in any given hunt. Actions rooted in rules rock and roll; they are always cool. But most Money raisers owe their success to their appreciation of “Why givers give”. Making it rule No. 1; Recognize Why Givers Give. Members of Money Next Door are talking about this rule. It is topic Number One.

Hola Sulah!

Good to hear from you. You know, I have still been thinking of the question you asked me a while ago, about how to make telecentres not just cater to 'communities' in general, but to INDIVIDUALS... it's a big question that deserves more focus. And I think it has to do with continuing to inspire the very individuals that make up the tc. movement...

Hope you are well,
C.
