Work on a-USh403-million electrification project in Apac District in northern Uganda has ‘halted’ because of alleged financial impropriety.
USh300 million is reportedly unaccounted for, jeopardizing early completion of the project meant to light up 100 households, power fish preservation and water purification facilities in Kayei landing site in Akokoro Sub-county.
The Netherlands, through the World Bank, provided the funds for the project.
