DELHI, India — The telecentre.org academy has launched the Curriculum Commons Grant, a $125,000 fund to support ongoing training for grassroots telecentre operators.

Space for private messages? and Inbox/mail functionality

Perhaps I'm overlooking it, but I don't see a way of sending someone a private message on the system. Maybe I can do that via composing a message from my Inbox, but it's not clear. If so, I'd appreciate a link on profile pages -- I can imagine a lot of people sending messages they don't mean to be public via the very public current message capability on the profile pages.

As part of the Reefnet project in support social and heritage content and to pass memories of people in rural community. Special edition: the Informatics Club Meeting in Medellin

Last June, 1 600 young students from 100 schools of Medellin gathered to celebrate the first Informatics Clubs Meeting. It was the opportunity to share their experience and tell the others about what they did in the Informatics Club. Are telecentres simply big dreams of science?

It’s a hot afternoon as I approach Nakaseke sub-county headquarters in Nakaseke District, Uganda. This is the location of a telecentre that has come to play a very vital role in the lives of the local community.

I have been learning about the East African Telecentre Movement. In fact, it was my dream to visit and learn more about the. My expectations were further induced after reading Ndula Sulah’s (Executive Director, UgaBYTES) blog on his preparatory visit to Sudan. My dream has come true. Telecentre by motorcycle: A modern missionary in rural Peru

Luis Caceres, a young engineer from the Asociación Especializada para el Desarrollo Sostenible (AEDES), drives his motorcycle high into the mountains, armed only with his passion to teach and a laptop.
