2nd round of digital literacy training course to launch in January [UPDATED]

The second round of Telecentre Women‘s Digital Literacy for Women and Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship Training Course will begin on January 13, 2014 and run until February 9. The course, which was first offered last November, is a Training of Trainers (ToT) class for the Digital Literacy for Women and Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship course. Aside from learning the content, participants will also learn how to teach the content to the learners for whom this course was developed: women and youth. Participants will also be guided on how to provide support services for various types of learners.

The course will be delivered in the open distance eLearning (ODeL) or online mode.  Learning sessions will be asynchronous through the virtual learning environment hosted at the University of the Philippines Open University. This will be supplemented by email and social networking through Facebook.

The course is open for FREE to all participants around the world provided they meet the following requirements:

  • Has good access to the Internet;
  • Fluent in English; and
  • Is able to devote at least 3 hours a day (or 10 hours a week) for a total learning time of 48 hours

A Certificate of Trainer Course Completion will be issued to those who will be able to complete all the requirements of the course.

This course is conducted by Foundation and implemented in partnership with the Philippine Community eCenter Network (PhilCeCNet), with support from the International Telecommunication Union

The demand for digital literacy training is high, i would reguest the training to be repeated in due course if opportunity favours.
