BTN visit an workshop In Gaibadha, Bangladesh

It was on March 20 a team (Dr. Ananya Raihan secretary general, M. Ataur Rahaman, program officer of Bangladesh Telecentre Network (BTN) participated a workshop at Zilla Parishod Auditorium in Gaibandha. This program was organized by Gana Unnayan Kendra (GUK) in association with D.Net. GUK is one of the active members of BTN and currently operating in the north region of the country. The title of the program was ‘Workshop to Rebuild the Society with Information and Knowledge System'. People from deferent segments of the society including development activists, students, teachers, farmers, telecentre practitioners, small enterprise operators attended this event.

Dr. Ananya Raihan was the keynote speaker while Parliament Member Mahbub Ara Begum Gini was present as a chief guest. Dr. Ananya Raihan elaborated the Telecentre movement and the recent activities of BTN. Gini envisioned that one day her district will become ‘Digital Gaibandha' and in this regard she will take all initiatives to transform Gaibandha into digital. Another two speakers, general secretary of Gaibandha press club Abu Jafor Sabu and professor/journalist Zahrul Kayum also delivered their speech. The program was presided over by Gobindo Lal Das , president of Gaibandha press club.
