Manuel Acevedo, Head of Strategic Management of the Latin America and the Caribbean Telecentre Network, was recognized in the competition sponsored by Nokia, the Ideas Project's 'Apps for Development' Challenge. Manuel's proposal, selected as a winner, was an application for smartphones that would allow access to a platform for Online Volunteering management. The prize was a trip to Delhi to participate in the conference Mobiles for Development 2012 Conference (M4D-2012), in late February - and a Nokia mobile phone. Manuel thinks that Online Volunteering could provide valuable contributions to telecentres in Latin America and the Caribbean and all over the world. Congrats, Manuel!
