Training Opportunity: ITU ASP CoE Training on “Certified IPv6 Network Engineer (Level 1 and 2)”

ITU ASP CoE Training Workshop on “Certified IPV6 Network Engineer CNE6 L1 & L2,

Online Training: 19-23 November, 2012 (ITU Academy)
Training (Face to face): 17 - 20 December, 2012 PENANG, MALAYSIA

International Telecommunication Union and the National Advanced Centre for IPv6 are organizing a training on “Certified IPv6 Network Engineer (Level 1 and 2)” under the framework of ITU Asia Pacific Centres of Excellence (ITU ASP CoE) on Business Management hosted by the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT), Thailand. This training will have an online component (Level 1), which will be conducted through ITU Academy (19-23 November 2012) followed by a face to face training, which will be held at National Advanced IPv6 Centre (NAv6), Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang, Malaysia from 17 to 20 December 2012.

This Training (Online and face to face), which is targeted at network engineers dealing with IPv6, introduces the technical concepts of IPv6 while providing hands on experience on network configuration. The provisional agenda is placed at Annex 1. The first level (CNE LEVEL 1) will be conducted online while the second LEVEL (CNE LEVEL 2) will be a face to face. The participants will need to pass the test for Level 1 to attend the Level 2. This training will be conducted in English. Interested participants are kindly requested to complete the attached registration (Annex 2) and send it to the e-mail addresses indicated in the form no later than 9th November 2012.

Hotel reservations should be made directly with your chosen hotel using the hotel reservation form. For practical reasons, the number of participants for the training will need to be limited to 30. Information concerning hotel reservations, visa requests, as well as practical information is attached (Annex 4), and is also available at the website: http://www.itu.int/ITU-D/asp. Those participants requiring an entry visa to Malaysia are requested to contact their local Embassy for information well in advance.

There is a USD 400 (Four hundred US Dollars) training fees for the entire course. Please refer to Annex 5 for payment instructions. In addition, the participants should cover their own travel and accommodation expenses and arrangements.
